While no two nonprofit organizations are the same, every organization’s board of directors has the same legal duties and other basic responsibilities.
In this session, we will introduce the four legal duties of every board member, thoroughly covering the first three – duty of care, loyalty, compliance and to manage accounts – plus the 10 fundamental responsibilities of those responsible for governance of the organization. We’ll also share the attributes that make a strong board, and even cover the components of an effective board meeting.
